Is there anyone who doesn't know "garlic"?
I think everybody knows garlic. But, do you know that garlic has a lot of benefit for our body?
 

Pharmaceutical name of garlic is Bulbus Alli Sativi.

It is native to Central Asia and northeastern Iran and has long been a common seasoning worldwide, with a history of several thousand years of human consumption and use. Alli sativi is a perennial flowering plant growing from a bulb. It has a tall, erect flowering stem that grows up to 1 m (3 ft). The plant may produce pink to purple flowers from July to September in the Northern Hemisphere. If it is planted at the proper time and depth, it can be grown as far north as Alaska.

Based on TCM, the action of garlic is killing parasites; dispersing abscesses and reducing swelling; resolving toxicity; warming the stomach, strengthening the spleen, promoting the movement of qi; reducing stagnation; preventing influenza and treating shellfish poisoning.

Some indications that can be treat by this herb with specific dosage and formulation are tinea of the scalp, primarily for early stages of abscesses and sores, diarrhea and dysenteric disorders due to epidemic toxins or food stagnation, bacterial and viral epidemics, also for shellfish poisoning

Pharmacological effect of this herb is antineoplastic, cardiovascular, antibiotic, hepatoprotective and antidiabetic.
