Pineapple (菠萝 – Bō luó)
The pineapple is indigenous to South America, where it has been cultivated for many centuries. The introduction of the pineapple to Europe in the 17th century made it a significant cultural icon of luxury. Since the 1820s, pineapple has been commercially grown in greenhouses and many tropical plantations.
Pineapples grow as a small shrub; the individual flowers of the unpollinated plant fuse to form a multiple fruit. The plant is normally propagated from the offset produced at the top of the fruit, or from a side shoot, and typically mature within a year.
Based on TCM, pineapple can be used to disperses summer heat, creates body fluids, thirst quenching, diuretic, and promotes digestion.

Grape (Pú táo - 葡萄)
The Middle East is generally described as the homeland of grape and the cultivation of this plant began there 6,000–8,000 years ago. Yeast, one of the earliest domesticated microorganisms, occurs naturally on the skins of grapes, leading to the discovery of alcoholic drinks such as wine. The earliest archeological evidence for a dominant position of wine-making in human culture dates from 8,000 years ago in Georgia.
Based on TCM, grape can be used to:
* Flesh: creates body fluids, and relieves thirst.
* Peel: transforms phlegm, down bears qi and disperses digestive obstructions.
Grape contains vitamin C, beta-carotene, potassium, calcium, and amaroids (bitters).
Some indications that can be reduced by grape are:
* Stomach yin vacuity: restlessness, thirst, following excessive alcohol consumption.
* Stomach qi upbearing counterflow: nausea, vomiting, stomach aches, diarrhea, and digestive obstruction.

Malt
Malt is germinated cereal grain that has been dried in a process known as "malting". The grain is made to germinate by soaking in water and is then halted from germinating further by drying with hot air.
Malting grain develops the enzymes (α-amylase, β-amylase) required for modifying the grains' starches into various types of sugar, including monosaccharide glucose, disaccharide maltose, trisaccharide maltotriose, and higher sugars called maltodextrines.
Based on TCM, malt can be used to warms and supplements center burner, moistens the lung, cough-relieving, removes dryness, relieves cramps and acute pain conditions, creates body fluids, and detoxifies.
The preparation methods of malt are as syrup or powder, dissolve in water, as powder or decoction.

Yellow Soy Bean (Huáng dòu - 黄豆)
The soybean, soy bean, or soya bean (Glycine max) is a species of legume native to East Asia, widely grown for its edible bean, which has numerous uses.
Based on TCM, yellow soy bean can be used to supplements spleen, qi, and blood, down bears qi, moistens dryness, secretes fluids, and detoxifies.
