Garlic (Da Suan - 大蒜)
Pharmaceutical name of garlic is Bulbus Alli Sativi.
It is native to Central Asia and northeastern Iran and has long been a common seasoning worldwide, with a history of several thousand years of human consumption and use. Alli sativi is a perennial flowering plant growing from a bulb. It has a tall, erect flowering stem that grows up to 1 m (3 ft). The plant may produce pink to purple flowers from July to September in the Northern Hemisphere. If it is planted at the proper time and depth, it can be grown as far north as Alaska.
Based on TCM, the action of garlic is killing parasites; dispersing abscesses and reducing swelling; resolving toxicity; warming the stomach, strengthening the spleen, promoting the movement of qi; reducing stagnation;

Asian Ginseng Root (Ren Shen - 人參)
Pharmaceutical Latin name of Asian Ginseng Root is Radix Ginseng.
Asian Ginseng Root, also known as Panax Ginseng is a species of plant whose root is the original source of ginseng. It is a perennial plant that grows in the mountains of East Asia.
It is a protected plant in Russia and China, and most commercial ginseng is now sourced from plants cultivated in China, Korea and Russia. It is also cultivated in some areas of Japan. The plant is a slow-growing perennial and the roots are usually harvested when the plants are five or six years old
